We are in the process of hosting our Annual Foundation Appeal
Each year as we approach the Holidays, we give thanks for our health, our friends and family and our good fortune. We at the Foundation wish you the best of all
these things. As you share your time, talent and resources with loved ones this season, we ask that you also consider the needs of others - youth and the elderly, the ill and infirm and those for whom long-distance travel for care would constitute hardship. These are the people the Foundation is here to help most, whether by funding programs in our Nursing Home, offering financial aid through our Cancer Patient Assistance Fund or supporting technology and facilities improvements to guarantee locally available primary, acute and emergency care.
The Annual Appeal is the Foundation's single largest fundraiser. Proceeds support, among other things, the acquisition of advanced technology, the recruitment of talented Medical Staff and the enhancement of facilities in Clifton Springs, Canandaigua, Macedon, Newark and Seneca Falls. In 2009, appeal proceeds supported the installation of a new MRI suite and the conversion to fee-free television for hospital inpatients. Over $38,000 of Foundation funds were used to help eligible Cancer Patients pay for their treatment.
