DIABETES EDUCATION EVENT – GROCERY STORE TOURS
A healthy diet is one of the most important tools in controlling diabetes, but choosing the right foods can be an overwhelming task. Now, the Regional Diabetes Health Center at Clifton Springs Hospital will help you learn to make the right choices with two expert-lead tours of local grocery stores. Participants will learn how to make healthy choices from the aisles of two local markets with guidance from our registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator Rose Copper-Brown, RD, CDN, CDE. The first tour will take place on Wednesday, May 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Big M store in Clifton Springs. The second tour will take place on Monday, May 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Wegmans store in Newark. The fee is $5 per person for each tour. Tours are limited to 10 people each, and pre-registration is required. Call 315-462-0305 to make your reservation. The tour groups will meet at each store location.
